So Nolan is done with yet another semester at MJC. And, in just about two weeks, we may even be overlooking this vista again! But that is another post... Nolan worked very hard this semester and pulled in at least all B's, we may see one or two classes with an uptick to A's, but we are happy with the B's. And so is Nolan. This semester we had an arrangement that he would pay for school up front and if he managed all A's and B's with no C's he would get reimbursed. So he is quite happy to have a little money in that pocket!
Up until about three days ago, he thought he would also have a diploma in hand from MJC. But alas, those chickens do come home to roost. That chemistry class that gave him so much trouble - twice - is the one thing holding him up from getting his AA. He could take another class this summer to fulfill that requirement, but he needs Chemistry for his nursing pre-reqs.
For now, he is going to get his EMT this summer in a 5 week course and then go on to get his ER tech.
We are waiting to see if he will be accepted at Stan State next semester... So worse case scenario for Nolan is that he does another semester at MJC and continues to work at Best Buy or possibly a new job with his EMT or ER Tech certificates.
Tomorrow night he is very excited to head off on a road trip with some of his buddies to Santa Cruise. Frank leaves Saturday for DC for a couple of extra weekend days before some training he will do there on Mon/Tues and Haley and I leave on Monday for a week in Canada with Cathi. Frank will join us there over Mother's Day weekend and then the three of us fly home together. Fun Fun Fun.
