We have had a great weekend. Please bear with me, my space bar has decided that it likes to stick so, I'm trying to find words that are connected, but not always succeeding. It also slows down the typing process considerably!
Anyway... had a great weekend. Saturday was my birthday, but we have decided to spread the celebrating out overthe whole weekend. Frank and Nolan had to be at the cabin Saturday for an annual meeting -kind of manditory - for the whole association. Haley had ballet pictures and the first rehersal at Mancini Bowl Park. She is in two different classes, so she had to be there for two sets of picturs and two sets of rehersals. Luckily for us, the rehersals were right next to each other on the schedule. 10:30 to 1:30. But, it decided to rain. So there were dozens of little girls in coats stretched over their tou tous and running around with keds and all sorts of other creative coverings over their ballet shoes. Then Haley and I went to Denny's for lunch and had a really good burger. We came home and worked on her aprons. She has an order for two,but we really didn't know exactly what sort of fabric to use for this customer so we are making four and we will have a couple more to put up on ETSY this summer. Haley is going to have her own little store front and sell her apron creations this summer online..So we are trying to get some made ahead. More on that later.
Saturday night Frank got home at 5:15- earlier than promised!- and took me out for a sushi dinner. Spider rolls and califonia rolls and tempura asparagus oh my! We then came home and watched the first Indiana Jones movie. We are watching all three this weekend and then we will go on Monday, oh yeah thats today, and see the new one. We have been skipping the parts that scare Haley...
Yesterday we had a great Memorial Day service and picnic at the church. Every year they do a wonderful service honoring a fallen local hero and have their parents or family come and speak to the church. There are great patriotic songs and ROTC deomonstrations and then we head out for an afternoon of fun on the lawns with bounce houses and a free chicken lunch and games. It was great fun and the weather cooperated. Haley sung a couple of lines to Yankee Doodle Dandy, she started off the song after some narration and she just reached out there and plucked that hard note out of the air and sang stong with all confidence and people were talking about it all afternoon. I'm not the least bit proud or anything!
I will have tofinish this later thiskeybaordis driving me nuts!
