Okay, so I'm borrowing Frank's laptop today to do any major typting. My space bar is shot and need to take it in to have them see if they can fix it. Where was I.... Oh yes, Sunday night we had a delicious dinner... Salad shrimp over nice ripe avocados like little boats. We filled the whole of the avo with home made thousand island dressing and then smothered it with little shrimp. Great bread. Also, Frank came home from the cabin with some interesting mushrooms - no he didn't find them in the forest - he bought them at a stand. Some oyster mushrooms and another larger type. We took the oyster mushrooms and some uncooked prawns - a very good price right now - and made packets with oil and lemon and seasoning and put them in a hot oven for about 20 minutes. Yummmm. Frank also brought home an icecream cake from Cold Stone Creamery. We watched The Last Crusade and ended the evening with a dip in the jacuzzi.
Yesterday we all went to see the New Indiana Jones movie - very fun. Then we BBQ'd some tri tip and mushrooms and boiled corn and had a lovely meal outside. Although it was almost too cold to eat outside - unbelievable weather we are having! No one will get in the pool yet, but Haley. Speaking of Haley, she and I finished up our first big sew of the season. We have four little aprons ready to go - two already sold. We have spent the last several days with two sewing machines and all the trappings up on the dining room table and it makes such a mess! I need to find a better place to set up for long periods of time when we are busy this summer.
It's nice to have a quiet day after a big weekend. The house is nice and I can get a few things done. Especially the quiet jobs like paying the bills.
Tonight, we might drive up to have dinner with Ken and Sherri in Antioch. Frank's cousins. Sherri will most likely be undergoing brain surgery to remove a tumor on Wed of next week so please pray.
Oh and PS you really must check out the Andersons 3 blog - see link to the left... check out the pictures of my nephew, Benjamin and his first taste of avocado... not to be missesd!
Love to all.
