What a great day in Hanalei, Kauai. The kids surfed, we all ate shave ice, then we drove to the end of the road to beautiful Ke'e Beach. We have a watercolor of this beach cove framed in our bedroom. We snorkeled there for awhile and then drove back to the ship. We had a very nice dinner at one of the freestyle restaurants called, Little Italy. Very nice. The next morning- Frank's birthday, we took a taxi to our favorite Hamira Saimin Noodle Restaurant in Lihue. This was the only eating we did off ship. Then we walked back to the ship about a mile and half. Not a long walk, but as there were no sidewalks, a little harrowing. I was glad when we got back. For Frank's birthday we went to the Tepanyaki Restaurant on the ship. The best tepanyaki chef we have ever seen! The kids had thoughtfully brought their gifts, already purchased before the cruise and wrapped, for dad.
In other news, Nolan has been texting non stop - a girl. From what he tells us, a very nice girl named Bethany. His good buddy's sister. We'll see how things develop.
