On Tuesday we got up early and drove to the Magic Kingdom. We decided to pay the $12.00 parking so we could head back early and have the provided “snack” at the hotel. We were all amazed at the neat way you approach the park. In the morning we hopped on the monorail from the Magic Kingdom transportation center and got to sit up front with the driver. It was really fascinating to see the track ahead of you and not just the side views. On the way back to the transport center we took the ferry. The sky had grown overcast and it looked like sunset. It was beautiful.

We enjoyed a day of comparing WDW to Disney Land. What was better here vs. there, etc. After consulting with touring plans for crowds, we decided that, that particular Tuesday was better for the magic kingdom vs. epcot. The magic kingdom was hosting a very Micky Christmas party that evening (at an additional charge) and so the crowds were light all day until about 4:00pm. We rode more rides than we ever have in the space of just a few hours.
We headed back to the hotel very grateful that we had our car! Then we went down for our snack. It was what we call Anderson Special or Dutch Mess around our house, you know the macaroni with meat and sauce and peppers and onions. They also had great rolls and a salad. We easily made this our dinner and swam a bit and went back to the room to enjoy a very leisurely evening.
In other news, Frank is finally finished with all his finals and papers. He finished the last of it up on Monday night. One class had two finals!! One for the class and one for the lab. He spent easily 40 hours on the work for those two finals. He got A’s in both classes. Surprise. Frank is feeling totally relieved and very glad to be on vacation – especially since he has about two weeks off from school after we get home and a week off from any other work. It’s always so hard to come straight home and go right back to work.
More later.

I guess that's the downside of going back to school when you have school-aged children...you have to tow the line and set the example : )
Seriously: Frank, kudos to you!
Heather, thanks for the great and plentiful blog posts!
