So we had a delicious and festive Thanksgiving over at Cayucous. We did get there - although some may wonder by the length between postings if we ever made it there in the first place! We did and man did we have a nice time. Thanks so much Dad and Beth for the wonderful early Christmas present and we loved it.
Thanksgiving morning is paradise - well at least California paradise. This was the view of the balcony and the view you could see out of the kitchen so cooking was never a chore!

Here's our happy little guy enjoying the beach pales and the great weather. Mostly Ben amused himself going in and out of doors or opening and closing them.
He is so interested in all the details. He spent lots of time looking in the cracks and crevasses of the mat he is sitting on. Great hand eye coordination - Uncle Frank says!!
Here are our girlies- all ready to hit the waves together. Behind them the brothers catch some waves.
These four surfers belong to us. You have Jarrett, Todd, Nolan and Phil.
Todd, Nolan and Phil is catching a wave.
Nolan and Todd play and sing us some tunes. A couple of times you could hear the surfin four out playing their guitars on the balcony.
Another view of the pier that has been up on my blog for two weeks now! The sun will finally set on that picture!
Hey 19!! Nolan is now 19 years old. He celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving day and we all helped him eat some great dessert at the Sea Shanty on Saturday night. Ryan is in motion right in the front right with Jenny and beyond we have Melanie with Eden and then Nolan - And don't forget Emily. Happy Birthday Nolan.

Unfortunately, none of my pictures of Ryan and Phil and Jenny came out at all. I'm sure Grammy Beth will have some posted soon.... hint, hint. I had a great time getting to know them better. Jenny and Beth and I found mutual happiness at the local fabric store - a good one. And we had great times discussing favorite and unfavorite television with both of them. We also enjoyed a rousing game (that's what she said) of The Office Trivia game that Nolan got for his birthday. Jenny's turkey was a smash hit and I came home promptly and made one her way. It was delicious.
It was so great to get away and have a rest. I hadn't seen Frank for days (only a slight exaggeration) and it was nice to have him all to ourselves for almost five whole days. It was one of those trips that you will hold in your precious memory file for a long time.
